Pour Me a Drink – Wonderbird Spirits

In this episode of Pour Me a Drink, Aaron visits Wonderbird Spirits co-founders Chand Harlow and Rob Forster at their distillery in Taylor, Mississippi, just outside Oxford. As Chand prepares a Sake Martini, the trio discusses the conception of Wonderbird's core No. 61 gin—America's only rice-based gin—as well as its variations.

Opened in Spring 2019, Wonderbird is the brainchild of friends and co-owners Harlow, Forster, and Thomas Alexander.

The Sake Martini replaces vermouth with sake. Harlow says Michael Schwicht, beverage director at Momofuku at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas created the drink, inspired by his first taste of Wonderbird gin.
